BBC Television Show "Top Gear" had a lovely section on this weeks show called the Winter Olympics Special. Featured was a down hill ski jump staring an original mini, modified with... well..... rockets! Fortunately some nice person has posted the video on YouTube and you can view it here. NAM Forum Member Ovrezee, posted this on North American Motoring, about the show, but what was truly fascinating, were the comments below the video. One particularly brilliant one from Damian Hall, who is the Managing Director of The RocketMen Ltd. (no web site) the actual company that designed and executed the project for Top Gear along with "Bicker's Action Ltd".

Last week, while traveling south on I-95, I was confronted with a huge chunk of truck tire that came out from under the car in front of me. Unfortunately, I was in the middle of three lanes and, with no where to go, I was obliged to drive right over it.

Anyone thinking of upgrading the stock audio system in their mini should see this from the diy network. The host, Andrew Totolos’s show ‘Tricked Out’ episode DTRK-212 that ran in December, upgrades a factory stereo with an outboard amplifier, custom amp-cover and subwoofer in an ‘03 Mini Cooper S. The on-line information documents the entire procedure with excellent pics and shows the wiring and install of an amplifier and a fiberglass subwoofer enclosure that is installed in the rear of the car. Nice!
